New Gate and Doors, security for the farm

Tightening up things on the farm we purchased, after completing the planting of cacao, coffee, vanilla, a variety of fruit trees, platano, yuka, a variety of tropical spices.. nutmeg, all spice, anise, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cloves and black pepper.. We also put in the beginnings of a butterfly garden that will be amazing, no doubt. 

We have such a nice mix of habitat, open grass land and riparian, connected to the old growth forest on one side. It is truly a birding and butterfly heaven. in the first week on the farm i spotted five types of tucan, a otter, a turtle, wild turkey, oropendula.. literally 50 or 60 kinds of birds just from my front porch sipping coffee. 

We are repairing the riparian habitat, and putting in a couple chiamps, or raised beds on swampy ground by the river to demonstrate the aztec system of agriculture.. three sister, you know?

Next project.. we will install this beautiful butterfly door and sweet iron gate, a few cameras and the place is comfortably secure little tucan sanctuary. Sooo nice to have a peaceful and safe place to relax my silicon valley mind. 

The septic system goes in next month, so we will have updated septic for all three buildings. Then new electric system farm wide should complete the must haves. 

When digging the septic, we will dig a nice long talapia pool, or pools, to start our aquaculture setup. 

No better way to water your orchard than with fishy water! no doubt. And it will provide some good sustenance.
